coppertone skin, hot pants and budweiser

Planning on throwing on some short shorts this sunday, riding my free spirit around newport, dodge the cops, and drink a cocktail- filled red plastic cup. And the fireworks. Fireworks are on my top ten favorite things list. We got to view the first cut of the music video we shot last week. Its too bad I can't post it yet, it very "American." Hopefully soon! Ooh, also on my top ten list are carnivals and the Orange County Fair is coming up! Yay for summer! Happy 4th of July!

If you don't know where you are going, any road will lead you there

Jason and I just got back from a 4 day music video shoot. It was amazing...we got to visit places we have never been to in California, meet interesting people and have some awesome experiences. Here's a little taste of some of the places we shot at. It was so much fun and we got to work with such a rad crew. But now I am going to sleep for 2 days straight. Good night!

this ain't the right thing to do, so let's go

Over the weekend Jason and I went on the Comune motorcycle ride/camping trip. 30 or so of us met up at Neptune's Net in Malibu and then rode up to Lake Cachuma above Santa Barbara where we stayed the first night. Jason brought two lovely models, Nadiya and Masha, along with us to shoot an editorial. The first night everyone drank tons (and I mean tons) of PBR, had an oldies dance party in the dirt and was kept awake all night by the various animals trying to get to our food. The next day we moved to Camp Lopez Lake. That night we all sat around the fire, made smores and played an VERY interesting game of "I have never." Here's a group photo of everyone at Lopez Lake but there are definitely more photos to come...

This editorial is a couple years old (I think) but I still love it. The styling is perfect and of course I am a fan of motorocycles. Especially models with motorcycles. Jason's shoot has a similar feeling...the freedom of a motorcycle ride up to camp in the wilderness.

Well it's been a crazy busy week. We headed down to Newport to get ready for my birthday and in between checking out wedding sites, Laguna mexican restaurants, Huntington Beach strip mall bars, fittings, watching important basketball finals at bars, and Get Him To The Greek; we managed to put together a birthday party. For myself. Here is the result...pics that I did not really know were being taken all night...until I saw them on Facebook.

we obviously jumped back on the wagon!

Saturday and Sunday I hurt.

Monday I played a sexy Clockwork Orange-kinda church goer (?) in a commercial filmed by Jonas Akerlund. And then we went and saw our friends We Barbarian play down the street at Spaceland. Hey! Here's a video from that night!

Today I modeled back to school (always a good thing). And now I am watching some short version of Dirty Dancing on the TV Guide network. Isn't Penny beautiful!

Tomorrow I head out on a motorcycle/camping adventure with Comune up to Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo. It is going to be wild.

Also, my Silverlake post was featured as a guest blog on Spanish Moss Vintage. Check it out here as well as Suzanne's amazing vintage finds and American Gold collection. Thanks! xo
