it's friday, i'm in love

-I love checking out Moon to Moon's gorgeous photos of bohemian living spaces. These bedrooms are just lovely!

-If I was in high school I would be so into Tavi Gevinson's Rookie Mag. Well...I'm not in high school and I'm still super into it. This month has been great, I'm loving all the teen witch inspired posts.
Check out this, this, and this. So good!

-My obsession with pumpkin is getting a little overboard this month. Pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin bread, and Blue Moon Pumpkin Ale (hellloooo)...and now I want to make some pumpkin spice oatmeal thanks to A Beautiful Mess. Actually all of them look amazing, and perfect for the season. oh yeah, AND I want to make these pumpkin pie pop-tarts. P.S. Jason is really over my pumpkin addiction. (But he's not over the Blue Moon Pumpkin Ale!)

-Here's a little video Kelley and me (and two other hotties) shot for Fashion Gone Rogue by Graham Dunn. He shot it VHS style- all 80's after school special.

-Ordered the Mama Bells from Novella Royale's Recycled Collection and I am very excited. Tie-dyed bell bottoms, my dream pants!

-So true, Gala Darling. But I'm gonna go one step further and actually go to Disneyland next week. I've never been for the Halloween season. And I cannot wait!

-Finally, Mr. Jason Lee Parry is having an art show in Hollywood tomorrow night. Here's the flyer. Be there, or be square.

Happy Weekend!

orange county suite

Well I used to know someone fair
she had orange ribbons in her hair
she was such a trip
she was hardly there
but I loved her just the same

There was rain in our window
the FM set was ragged
but she could talk, yeah
we learned to speak

And one year
has gone by

Such a long long road to seek it
all we did was break and freak it
we had all
that lovers ever had
we just blew it
and I'm not sad

Well I'm mad

And I'm bad

And two years
have gone by

Now her world was bright orange
and the fire glowed
and her friend had a baby
and she lived with us
yeah, we broke through the window
yeah, we knocked on the door
her phone would not answer
yeah, but she's still home

Now her father has passed over
& her sister is a star
& her mother smokes diamonds
& she sleeps out in her car

Yeah, she remembers Chicago
the musicians & guitars
& the grass by the lake
& the people who laugh'd
& made her poor heart ache

Now we live down in the valley
we work out on the farm
we climb up to the mountains
& everything's fine

& I'm still here
& you're still here
& we're still around

I love these photos Neil Krug has shot of his wife Joni. And check out his videos...I know who I am going be hiring to shoot my first music video. Yes, I know it's a little early but you gotta pre-plan this stuff, ya know? I have a feeling he would get my psychedelic galaxy witch cowgirl set in the 70's vibe. Plus this.

October is my absolute favorite month, I LOVE fall and I LOVE Halloween. Last year I created a playlist for Halloween, here's a downsized version of it. I love any garagey, 60's-ish song about the dark side. Happy haunting!

//

Very sorry for another video post, but this is pretty much my inspiration at the moment. Well, what I have been listening to... 90's angsty girl bands (with a token a male or two, of course). All that's missing is a floral babydoll dress, a fur coat, some lace-up boots, oh and Clinique Black Honey lipstick and maybe some Sunflower perfume by Elizabeth Arden. Mmmm, maybe. I was never too fond of it.

P.S. While we are here and talking about the 90's, why don't we just throw in one of my all time favorite music videos? I could probably go on all night and add in all the Aerosmith videos featuring Alicia Silverstone. But let's save that for another post shall we?
